LOCATIONS AND OFFICIATORS FOR THE CEREMONY
Laurel Manor: Just a few steps into their lobby, and you'll realize that Laurel Manor is one of the classiest wedding venues in the Westland area. The venue is complete with a marble lobby and dance floor, a winding staircase, and a presentation overlook for the bride and groom. Laurel Manor is the perfect place for your dream day with an entire range of wedding packages and an excellent catering service.
Wyandotte Wedding Chapel: This location is definitely suited to more traditional weddings. Inside a historic white church with a cathedral ceiling, the Wyandotte Wedding Chapel can host your wedding, rehearsal, or bridal party for a modest price. It's located just east of Downtown Wyandotte, a few miles from the Detroit River.
Weddings by Laurel: Although Weddings by Laurel is based in Livonia, just north of Westland, the officiators will be glad to travel to the wedding destination of your choice. Even better, their basic package is just $100, and the most expensive is around $300. Laurel, the officiator, is great for a personalized, unique wedding. She specializes in all types of ceremonies — renewals, LGBT weddings, catering, and others. In all, for a casual wedding with a small budget, Weddings by Laurel is one of Westland's best options.
RECEPTION HALLS AND BANQUETS
Joy Manor: Westland's Joy Manor is the perfect place for great food after the wedding. While the establishment is high class, clean, and has great staff, the food is the best part. All their food is made on-site, and they can even cater your reception at another location. Of course, no wedding reception is complete without a bar, and Joy Manor has a full bar with a very talented bar staff.
Hellenic Cultural Center: Based in Westland proper since 1983, the Hellenic Cultural Center specializes in personalized weddings. The venue is very spacious, with a huge dance floor and large, round tables. They can plan an indoor and an outdoor wedding for you, although one look at their venue will have you choosing the former. Recently remodeled, the Hellenic Cultural Center features crystal chandeliers, a marble fountain in the lobby (great for photo-taking), private dressing rooms, and free wi-fi.
Burton Manor: Burton Manor is a great choice for large weddings. With a reception hall of over 35,000 square feet and over 10,000 feet of lobby space, Burton Manor can hold a wedding reception of over 2,000 guests. It's just 15 minutes from Metro Airport and Downtown Detroit, making it accessible for out-of-town guests. Also, the "Burton Family" is home to two other venues, Kara's House and Roma Banquets. Burton Manor is a great choice for a Westland wedding if you're looking for a single company to handle both the wedding and the reception.
